Prince of Peace has hosted the Bethlehem Walk since 2013

This expanded, live Nativity will take you back in time to experience a night like no other – the night our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was born. The evening will begin in the church sanctuary with a short introduction and distribution of passports. Guests will then proceed to Fort Herodium, then outside to walk through the gates of Bethlehem to confront Roman guards and tax collectors, hear the words of the prophets and wise men, shop at the merchants’ tents, encounter a variety of animals, and visit the inn and the stable. Tours are self-guided. Members of Prince of Peace will serve cookies and hot chocolate in Luther Hall following the Walk. How much are tickets?

This event has always been FREE to our community. We ask that all guests reserve a ticket through our Eventbrite page to help us ensure safe management of parking and to avoid massive lines!

Where do I park? 

As you enter the church parking lot, our attendants will direct you. 

Where do I begin the Bethlehem Walk?

You will proceed through the main church entrance into the Narthex. You will be greeted and assigned a place to sit in the sanctuary, where our volunteers will distribute passports and assist you in your journey through Bethlehem. 

How should I dress?

We suggest you dress in layers. You will be inside the church sanctuary for a short time; the majority of the expereince is outdoors. There will be fires for warmth, but dress as you would to be outside for about half an hour on a December evening. This event occurs rain or shine.

Is the Bethlehem Walk accessible?

Our outdoor area (Bethlehem) will occur on paved asphalt, making it easier for thos with disabilities to maneuver. Accessing this area requires stairs and/or hills. We will have a golf cart availiable for those who cannot use stairs or those who may have issues navigating the hill that leads to it. 

What happens if it rains or snows?

This event will take place despite adverse weather. For exceptional weather events, we will send a notification via Eventbrite and post on our church Facebook page if a cancellation were to occur because of extreme conditions. 

I reserved a ticket(s) but cannot attend. What should I do?

You can cancel your ticket order through Eventbrite, call the church office at 765-342-2004, or email the office at popchurchlcms@hotmail.com. We appreciate you letting us know that you cannot attend so we can allow others to take your place.
