In place of Sunday school, a hymn sing will follow worship. We’ll also enjoy a piece of cake and take a congregational photo.

Celebrate our church’s past while investing in its future

In September of this year, we will be celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.  As we observe the rich heritage of our church, what better way to invest in the future of our congregation than building up our Thy Kingdom Come Endowment Fund so that we can perpetuate our mission and ministry here in Martinsville!  The Endowment Fund Board, along with the approval of the Prince of Peace Church Council, has established a goal of $60,000 of additional contributions to Thy Kingdom Come Endowment Fund by the end of 2021 to celebrate our 60-year history.

We hope that each member of Prince of Peace will prayerfully consider contributing to the Endowment Fund.  Contributions can be made weekly, monthly, or as a one-time amount.  Members can use the Endowment Fund envelopes found in each envelope packet, Endowment Fund envelopes found in the narthex or donate through the electronic system known as GivePlus.  Be sure you designate the Endowment Fund with your contribution.

If each of our 100 active giving units at Prince of Peace gave $600 over and above their normal contributions, we would easily reach our goal of $60,000. (i.e. – a contribution of $100 per month for six months or $25 per week for 24 weeks would total the $600 contribution.)

The Endowment Fund is designed to be a permanent Prince of Peace account for the purpose of growing and assuring the ministry of our congregation for future generations.  If you have questions about the Endowment Fund, please see one of the Board members - Dennis Eickhoff, Tom Gray, Greg McKelfresh, or Larry Polster.  Also, Tom Jackson or Pastor Janssen can answer your questions.

All contributions made to Thy Kingdom Come Endowment Fund will appear on your quarterly and year-end statements.
